Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Hi, I’m Trinidee Mercado, a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and supportive space for healing. I welcome individuals ages 12+ and am committed to providing inclusive, affirming care to people from all backgrounds and identities. My work is rooted in a strengths‑based and trauma‑informed approach, meaning I honor your lived experiences and empower you to move toward healing in ways that feel authentic to you. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, PTSD, and the effects of trauma, and I work collaboratively to help you build coping skills, deepen self‑understanding, and reconnect with your inner resilience.

I bring a strong history of supporting neurodivergent clients, individuals navigating the impacts of trauma; and first responders, veterans, and their families. I understand the unique pressures, cultural expectations, and emotional demands faced within these communities, and I strive to provide a space where you feel understood, supported, and respected.

I also have training in Trauma‑Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF‑CBT) and integrate a variety of approaches depending on your individual needs; whether that’s CBT, DBT, psychodynamic exploration, art‑based work, solution‑focused strategies, or a blend of these approaches.
